Lake LashawayLake Lashaway is a 293-acre pond that straddles the East Brookfield and North Brookfield town line. Both towns share the lake's beach. Activities include fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, skating, and hockey. Horse Pond and Doane Pond are great spots for fishing, nature observing, and walking. You can find a variety of warm-water fish there, including large- and small-mouth bass, chain pickerel, yellow perch, brown and yellow bullhead, and golden shiner. A well known children's summer camp, Camp Atwater, is on the north shore of the lake in North Brookfield. Route 9 East Brookfield MA en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Lashaway |
